Lanesplitter Pizza

Lanesplitter Pizza has long been a favorite of ours. Their pizza is extra thin, the sauce spicy with a fresh tomato taste, and their toppings are high quality.

We usually order the same meal every time we go: a large with onions olives and sausage and a salad plate (the plate is big enough for two - topped with sprouts, red beans, garbanzos, onions and celery). Generally the pizza arrives with an extra crispy crust - the first slice holds it's shape without flopping over. And my favorite bite - the first bite of a wedge of pizza, is almost always crispy, fused cheese-sauce-crust. It can be so good.

Their San Pablo location has a great beer selection made up of many locals. A notable offering: Bear Republic's Red Rocket - a beer that's great out of the bottle, but must be tried from the tap.

We like the delivery available from their Albany location - but because of the delay of over to box to car to house to table vs. oven to table you often loose that wonderful, crispy crust. But that's a trade off I often make to enjoy a pie at home.

dropped in out of the blue - best pizza ever and I told them that!! Loved the Chicane small with a Death and Taxes on tap. Hits the spot on a rainy day. Fast service, nice atmosphere and beats Sunday pretention at the local coffee house, any old day. Thanks!
