Sauerbraten
We trying to make sauerbraten. This is a thrown together marinade we made. It needs two days to be ready to cook. We'll write back later after we roast and make the gingersnap gravy.
Marinade
1.5 cups balsamic
1 cup sherry vinnegar
1 cup red wine (cabernet)
1 cup dk. brown sugar
5 juniper berries
5 allspice berries
10 black peppercorns
2 cinnamon sticks
freshly grated nutmeg
1/4 cup kosher salt
2 tbs mustard seed
2 onions quartered
leaves from i bunch celery
4 lbs sirloin, sliced 1/4"
Let sit in fridge for 48 hours or more.
