Christmas Eve Dinner
We stayed at home for Christmas Eve Dinner. We made a wonderful little meal that went something like this:
We started with St. Agur Blue Cheese with Bosc pears. For the main course we had Steak au Poivre, with the traditional pan juice and bits sauce, but made with Knob Creek bourbon, shallots and beef stock. Steamed Yukon Gold potatoes, and brussel sprouts sauteed with Bacon and Thyme.
It was a tasty dinner, which we ate at the coffee table in front of the first fire we've had in the last few years.
