House Work
This weekend was all about housework. We've been taking a hiatus form the major work that's needed and have been only maintaining the day-to-day stuff. This list continues to grow, it has not stalled like we've wished.
What I did:
- Replaced some boards that the Moron Fence Builder damaged.
- Sanded the furniture that the Moron Home Owner (me) fucked up with RAW linseed oil instead of BOILED.
- Installed a small sprinkler system in the front garden.
- Spread redwood mulch on the gardens, front and side yard.
- Drill hole for gate post in driveway. Fitted hole (with help from Don, the ever-helpful neighbor) with stainless steel insert to prevent further concrete damage.
- Shored up side yard access panel with cross-bracing.
- Strung party lights on deck.
- Broke pedal on bike while riding at the Marina. Rode fucked-up bike approx. 1 mile. Walked Bike approx. 5 blocks.
- Took bike to repair shop.
Jenny did this:
- Toiled endlessly on removing stain on woodwork in living room. Spending 7 hours to complete 1 window's worth of wood.
- Exercised great amounts of patience in above.
- Breathed in fumes of Citrus Orange Stripper.
- Planted herbs and other plants around the house.
All around a busy weekend.
