Food Poisoning
Yum.
Jenny brought home tasty Dim Sum from Yank Sing, an upscale Dim Sum restaurant in San Francisco. We ate it for Lunch on Saturday, sampling all the various flavors, dipping the food in hot mustard and soy sauce.
Yum. Yum.
Until my stomach began to rumble at 9 o'clock that night.
Rumble. Rumble.
We were preparing to go to the Throwing Muses Reunion Show, and I felt great until that point. I headed off to the bathroom.
Rumble. Rumble.
Cramps. Ouch. Cramps hurt.
I got the chill immediately after, Jenny ran off to the store to get me some remedies (diet 7-up, Immodium AD), and I sat shivering under a blanket for the rest of the night. I slept fitfully., alternately freezing and burning up.
I awoke, felling poisoned, afraid to go to the bathroom. I spent the morning sipping Orange Juice and drinking water. We went to Jenny's parents house for a bar-b-que, and I cooked all day, but hardly ate. Stomach too sensitive. Ouch.
Jenny got it too, though it was delayed a bit. It hit her on Monday morning. Poor thing. It hit her in all the same ways it hit me, but she was up and around for most of the day, and was even able to eat a meal for dinner.
Bad Dim Sum.
