Birthday day
I spent my birthday running errands and cleaning the house. Jen was around, but working, and she didnÕt feel like going to the city. So I called up Patrick and Cub and I headed under the bay to the city for some bar hopping.
We started out at the 7-11 club, which was incredibly crowded. Patrick had met a number of his coworkers there for some drinks, so I saw some familiar faces and spent a bit of time talking with Kassie.
We headed out of there quickly, went for the MUNI and headed up to the Lower Haight. We stopped and grabbed a fallafel, and ate it quickly. We headed over to Noc Noc and then walked to the mission. Once we reached the mission, we stopped at the Albion, and I had a cheap, Mexican beer. We talked a bit and headed for the door.
On the way out, we ran into Brandy and her friend Anna. I used to work with Brandy, and hadn't seen her since the office closed. Brandy is also the designer that created the lowbrow.com interface.
We headed further into the mission and stopped at the Lexington, a Lesbian bar. We hung out for a beer and then headed deeper into the mission seeking some DJ music or something live. The mission was crowded and every bar was charging cover. So we headed to Poncho Villa so Cub could get a burrito, jumped the BART train and headed home.
