Cooking
I've been cooking more lately. We subscribed to Planet Organic, and organic food delivery subscription service. They deliver a box of food (mostly fruits and vegetables) once every two weeks for 25 bucks. It's a great service, and we haven't been at all disappointed by the food that shows up.
So, we need to eat these vegetables, and the best way to do that is to dig into the cookbooks and find a recipe. So that's what we've been doing, and it's been great.
On Sunday we made a Japanese soup. We started with a Dashi soup base, and added Sake, hot pepper oil, and some lemon juice. I seared some Salmon strips left over from the birthday party in some peanut oil. I added daikon and mung bean sprouts to the soup base, boiled some soba noodles and threw it all together. It was great.
On Monday I made a simple pasta sauce from tomatoes, green olives and a few Aidells garlic and artichoke sausages, served over some pasta. I served this with a salad of mixed greens and shrimp (also leftover from my party).
Tuesday made me want to use the rest of our Ahi Tuna (from the Sushi rolls at my birthday). SO I took the remainder, sliced it into steaks, and marinated it in a sauce made from: orange juice, soy, sake, rice wine vinegar, hot pepper oil and brown sugar. I made a salad base form romaine lettuce and basil leaves, added a hardboiled egg, red and yellow peppers, boiled potatoes and some grilled asparagus.

If you would be unloved and forgotten, be reasonable.

Perceptions do not limit reality.
