New Pool Cue
Patrick and Kate gave me a pool cue for my birthday. It's a 20 oz. hardwood model, and I love it.
We (Patrick, Cub and I) took it to Gino and Bears to test it out, and I came up with mixed results. While it is a new stick to me, it has a different feel than bar sticks. In short, I sucked last night. I'm supposed to rule with my own stick right?
This stick has the magical ability to sink the cue ball with every shot. Every. Single. Shot.
I scratched on the break, on every shot thereafter, and even when shooting for the eight-ball.
The plus side is that the stick is smooth and accurate, the correct weight for my arm, and I know I'll get used to it and it's magical power. Sometimes it takes personal counter-magic to bring the balance right.
