Addictions and Crimes

I value those weird, hard european gummy bears. The kind you can only find in little tiny overpriced bags at second-class grocery stores and hardware stores. They have a strange "liquer-y" taste you just can't put your finger on.

Rather addictive, huh? I'm not a big candy fan, but have enjoyed those myself. They hurt your jaw, and tear at your fillings. I think candy should be more dangerous -- make people think twice about it. Like diet soda - all those health warnings, makes you think about drinking completely unnatural water-based beverages.

I like those end of roll photos myself. I had a girlfriend who worked in a Photomat who brought me dozens of these abstract flubs. Sunday mornings we'd shuffle the collection, lay them out in random fashion, and create stories based on the juxtaposition. Try it, it's like Mad Libs for the right hemisphere of your brain.

There's a big Costco around here, and we have a work membership. I've spent many a Saturday afternoon finger other peoples photographs. Voyeuristic and illegal.

Someday, try and engage the photo-booth attendants in conversation at Costco or Walmart. Ask about the weirdest picture they've ever seen. They won't talk. It's odd.

Pthalo blue rules.... Inky.

Yes. I just got a studio space - move in on November 1. I've been

sniffing my acrylics in anticipation.
