cub, cub, cubby
Cubby was here for the better part of the week and we spent the time running around, doing errands and eating tacos (see below). It was a refreshing and fun week, much needed break in the endless stream of unemployed days.
On a sad note, it looks like my neighborhood bar is falling apart. Gino and Bear's has been my hangout for the last year or so, and I arrived the other night to find that all the wall hangings and some of the counter tops had been removed. I asked and found out that Leland, one of the owners, had sold his share in the bar and decided to take all of his stuff.
Leland leaving isn't really that big of a deal - it's the bar tenders. My favorite bartender, Steve, says he won't last there at all - he doesn't like the new owner. I don't know about our other favorite bar tender - Ray - I haven't spoken to him about the situation.
There aren't too many places like it in Bay Area, and I'm really sad to see it's demise.
