...and they will know us by the trail of dead
Started the evening out at the Edinburgh Castle, playe d a game or two of pool with Patrick, and then Teri joined us. We headed over to Hemlock to meet up with Kassie for a drink.
Hemlock is nice, with a separate room for smokers away from the bar, a nice two level bar, pool table and a DJ playing punk rock.
We headed to the GAMH and had enough time to grab a beer and head up front, the band started shortly thereafter. They came on strong, in my favorite Mid-Western way (even though their from Texas), heavy, melodic and full of changes.
Swapping seats between drums and guitar was the rule for the evening, with the song styles switching, but constantly bombastic. Shortly after the 1/2 hour mark a guitar was thrown across the stage, broken.
The staff at GAMH got nervous, and began to prepare. Three songs later the equipment began to be smashed to bits. First guitars, then amp, and finally drums. All along the man with the microphone was screaming "we have one more song!" over and over again.
The house lights came up, the staff took their positions, and people shuffled out of the venue.
Total performance time: just short of an hour.

Just curious.
