News update(s).
1) Jenny and I are having a baby.
We've known for quite a while and only recently let the news out. Due, August 18th, 2003. Me? Dad material? Still not sure. But sure as sure can be, I'm pretty happy about it.
2) Pilot the Dog is narcoleptic.
Pilot came down with a mystery illness early in December. He would begin to "bob" a little when he ate. The symptom began to cause him to loose more and more control as he ate, drank, or even offered a treat. We took him to the local vet, and they were boggled, and send us off to David where there is a veterinary school full of experts. We were able to consistently reproduce the symptoms - we'd just give him a treat, he's fall over. The vet students found this amazing and almost exhausted our poor pup by offering him treats over and over.
They did all sorts of tests, and were able to offer us a potential explanation - he's narcoleptic. While we're not 100% sure of this, they prescribed anti-depressants, and we've been giving him cheese-pills for the last month and a half. No more symptoms. He's a little sleepy, but he's still our funny old dog.
